Kart Shed monthly prize: terms

These terms cover the monthly prize for the fastest lap in Kart Shed, the free kart workshop game on this site.

Who runs it

The promoter is Rental Kart Parts Ltd (company number 17031346), Anglo House, Worcester Road, Stourport-on-Severn, DY13 9AW (“we”). Questions: sales@rentalkartparts.com.

Entering

  1. It’s free. No purchase is necessary.
  2. It’s open to anyone aged 18 or over, except our employees and their immediate families.
  3. To enter, set a lap on the Shed Circuit in Kart Shed, post it to the leaderboard under a name of your choice, and add your email address in the leaderboard. Only laps posted with an email address are entered.
  4. One entry per person. If you post from more than one device or under more than one name, only your fastest lap counts and we may remove the others.

Winning

  1. Each month runs from 00:00 on the 1st to 23:59:59 on the last day, UK time.
  2. The entrant with the fastest lap on that month’s Shed Circuit board wins. If two laps are equal, the one posted first wins. Kart Shed’s other circuits have leaderboards of their own, but laps on them don’t count towards the prize.
  3. Every lap is checked automatically against the game’s own physics. We may also review the winning lap, and we may disqualify any lap we reasonably believe was not driven fairly, for example with altered game code, a script or an automated driver. Our decision is final.

The prize

  1. The prize is a £25 Rental Kart Parts e-gift card for use at rentalkartparts.com. There is no cash alternative and it can’t be transferred.
  2. We’ll email the winner within 7 days of the end of the month. If the winner doesn’t reply within 14 days, or can’t be reached, we may give the prize to the next fastest entrant.
  3. The winner’s leaderboard name and lap time are shown on the leaderboard. We won’t publish anything else about you.

Your email address

  1. We use your email address to run this competition, which means contacting you if you win.
  2. News and offers are optional. If you tick “Email me news and offers from Rental Kart Parts” in the leaderboard, we’ll also send you news and offers by email, and we keep a record of when you ticked it. Ticking it, or not, makes no difference to your entry or your chance of winning. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can untick the box in the leaderboard at any time.
  3. You can remove your email address completely at any time with “Remove my email” in the leaderboard, or by emailing sales@rentalkartparts.com. Our privacy policy explains how we look after personal data.

Changes

  1. We may change or end the competition by updating this page. A change won’t affect a month already under way unless it has to, for example because of cheating or a technical fault.
  2. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
