Rental Kart Parts is a specialist supplier of aftermarket parts, consumables and equipment for commercial rental kart operations. Based in Lincolnshire, built around what rental fleets actually run through week after week.

Why we exist

The supplier problem

If you run a rental kart track, you already know it. Manufacturers price you like you've nowhere else to go. Generic parts shops don't understand what a rental fleet takes, week after week. Shipping's slow when you need it Friday. Advice is thin when you need a straight answer. You end up juggling half a dozen accounts with vendors who don't really care which kart it's going on.

Rental Kart Parts is built to be the opposite: one trade partner that knows your karts, knows the work, and ships fast enough to matter on a Saturday morning. Aftermarket Sodi, Rimo and Honda engine parts in the lines you actually move, from a tighter range built around what tracks order, not everything it's possible to stock.

The team

Simo Heap

Founder & CEO

Two decades in the rental kart supply industry and the person who sets RKP's direction: strategy, brand, customer relationships, the big calls. He's spent the last four years driving the AI and systems work the business now runs on. Australian originally, now in Grantham; co-author of the bestselling business book The First XI and a former member of the Australian National Snow Ski Team. Straight-talking, allergic to corporate waffle, and most likely to call you back himself if something's gone sideways.

Jon Symes

Operations / systems / dispatch accuracy

Eighteen years at a leading UK kart track, from marshal to mechanic to manager — there's not much on a rental fleet Jon hasn't seen, fixed or sorted. He brings that track-side depth to the operational side of RKP: order flow, the customer platforms and AI tooling running behind the scenes, and the barcode-driven dispatch that keeps every pick accurate. He's usually the one on the other end of the call when something needs to happen yesterday.

Katrine Lofstrand

Sales & Business Development

Looks after RKP's European and Latin American customers — Swedish, and fluent in English and Spanish, so a sizeable slice of the global market gets to deal in their own language. Her career ran from telecoms at Ericsson, through ERP software sales, and then years inside the rental karting industry itself, working for a Swedish company that ran three kart tracks. When Katrine talks about turning a faulty fleet kart around before opening time, it's from direct experience, not a brochure.


Mark Jordan

Warehouse, Dispatch & Logistics

Came up through military logistics, moving supplies into some of the most hard-to-reach places on earth, where "close enough" wasn't a thing. He runs by the supply soldier's 5 Rights: the right item, in the right quantity, in the right condition, to the right person, at the right time. Today Mark runs warehouse, dispatch, supplier management, stock control and logistics, and built much of the automation that keeps it all flowing. If your parcel arrived faster than you expected, that's Mark and the operation behind him.
