De Haardt Universal Power Coil – Honda GX270 / GX390 – Xtra Transponder

The De Haardt universal power coil provides the connection between the Xtra shutdown transponder and the ignition system on certain Honda GX270 and GX390 engined karts. Without it, the transponder cannot interface correctly with the engine ignition on these larger displacement engines — meaning the shutdown system will not function as intended.

Not required on Honda GX120, GX160, or GX200 engined karts, which connect directly without the power coil. If you are fitting De Haardt transponders to a GX270 or GX390 fleet for the first time, check whether your specific engine variant requires the power coil before ordering transponders — getting this wrong means the system won't work and you'll be waiting on a part before the installation can be completed.

For operators already running De Haardt on smaller GX engines and upgrading or expanding to GX270 or GX390 karts, this is the component that bridges the difference between engine specifications.

Required for: Certain Honda GX270 and GX390 karts

Not required for: Honda GX120, GX160, GX200
