Aftermarket T1 specification connecting rod for Honda GX series go kart engines. The connecting rod is one of the hardest working components inside the engine — linking the piston to the crankshaft and taking the full force of every combustion cycle. When it goes, it usually takes other things with it, so having a replacement on hand before you need one is just good workshop sense.

These are T1 specification rods, based on the original pre-emissions Honda GX engine design that the karting industry was built on. Importantly, while these are T1 spec parts they are fully compatible with new Honda GX engines — making them the go-to choice for anyone rebuilding current engines to the stronger, higher performing original specification. Fitting a later specification rod with a T1 piston — or vice versa — is a compatibility issue that will cause serious problems, so make sure you're matching specifications throughout your rebuild.
