EBC FA547 Brake Pads – Old Style Caliper – Go Kart

EBC FA547 brake pads for older European rental karts running the original style brake caliper. If your fleet is on the new-style caliper, see the EBC FA548 — the FA547 is not interchangeable between caliper generations.

Available in hard and soft compound — the choice depends on how your fleet runs and how often you want to be changing pads.

Hard compound lasts longer under heavy use and suits fleets running back-to-back sessions where pad longevity and longer service intervals matter more than outright bite. Soft compound gives stronger initial braking feel — better pedal response straight away — but wears faster and will need more frequent replacement on a high-cycle fleet.

Neither is wrong — it comes down to your track, your session frequency, and how you balance maintenance time against braking performance.
