We sell parts that work hard. Sometimes things don’t. If something’s not right, here’s how we sort it.


1. Your Right to Cancel (UK & EU Customers)

If you’re buying as a consumer (not a business), you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it — no explanation needed.

This is your “cooling-off period” under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations and EU distance selling laws.

If you cancel within 14 days:

  • You must notify us in writing (email is fine).

  • You then have another 14 days to send the goods back.

  • We’ll refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or proof of return).

  • We refund the standard delivery cost you paid (if applicable).

  • Return shipping is your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Simple.


2. Standard Returns (Beyond 14 Days)

We extend this a little further because we like long-term relationships.

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery, provided:

  • The item is unused

  • It hasn’t been fitted or installed

  • It’s in original packaging

  • It’s in resellable condition

Returns outside the 14-day cooling-off period may be subject to a restocking fee (up to 20%).


3. How to Start a Return

Email us at support@rentalkartparts.com with:

  • Your order number

  • What you’d like to return

  • The reason (helps us improve)

We’ll issue a Return Authorisation (RA).
No RA = no return accepted.

Once approved, we’ll send you the return address and instructions.


4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If we’ve made a mistake, we fix it. Fast.

Under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and EU consumer law:

  • Goods must be as described

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

If something arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery (so we can act quickly)

  • Send photos if possible

  • We’ll arrange replacement, repair, or full refund

  • We cover return shipping for faulty or incorrect goods

If a fault develops within the first 30 days, you’re entitled to reject the goods for a full refund.

After 30 days (and within 6 months), we may offer repair or replacement first, as permitted by law.


5. Non-Returnable Items

We can’t accept returns on:

  • Custom or special-order parts

  • Electrical components that have been fitted

  • Items that show signs of installation

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Products returned without original packaging

Kart parts aren’t like t-shirts — once fitted, they’re yours.


6. Refund Timing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method

  • Please allow up to 7 working days for it to show in your account

We’ll email you once it’s processed.


7. Business Customers

If you’re purchasing as a business, cooling-off rights don’t apply.
Returns for business orders are handled at our discretion and may include restocking charges.


8. Fair Use

We reserve the right to refuse returns where items show signs of use, fitting, damage, or abuse of policy.

We’re fair. We expect the same.
